All hotel rooms at the special rate have now been released but we can still take bookings for the event until early September.
The Wilhelmshaven Association Biennial Reunion 2023
Friday 15th & Saturday 16th September, will be held at:
The Doubletree by Hilton Bristol City Centre, Redcliffe Way, Bristol, BS1 6NJ.
The TWA reunion is being held at the Double Tree by Hilton in Redcliffe, Bristol from Friday 15th to Sunday 17th September 2023 and for those who have booked by placing a deposit we would kindly remind you that the balance is due by the 30th June 2023.
The weekend format is as previous, with a welcome drink and buffet on the Friday evening followed by a dinner dance on the Saturday evening. The two day
ticket cost is £89.00. The Saturday only ticket is £58.00.
The booking forms were included in the last Newsletter but if you cannot locate them, they are available on the TWA website.
The web page link is https://prs-wilhelmshaven.co.uk/biennial-reunion/
You will have to login as member of course. If you are still having issues then please email me at: chris_belk@hotmail.com and I will endeavour to help.
We can still take bookings up to the 18th August 2023. However, as we get closer to the event the hotel will start to release some of the un-booked, special rate, bedrooms that they are holding for us. The later you leave your booking the higher the chance that the hotel will not have rooms available. All requests for
tickets from the 1st June 2023 will need to be paid in full at the time of booking.
As a reminder, there are several other hotels within walking distance of the Double Tree that may offer lower bedroom rates.
The location is very central and close to the main attractions that Bristol has to offer, and we would love to see you there!
Finally, for those who are finding these times financially difficult, the TWA does have a Facilitation Fund that can offer some help on a case-by-case basis to assist you in attending the reunion. Please reach out to Barbara Steels if would like to pursue this. All requests will be treated in strictest confidence.
If you wish to extend your stay to include either the Thursday or Sunday night or both, the same discounted room rate applies. Check-in is from 3.00 pm and
check out at 12.00pm on the day of departure.
Car parking is situated next to the hotel and has an automated payment system. You should make sure that reception has your car’s registration number when you check in. The discounted daily rate of 10 will apply for members attending the reunion. If driving you should note that the hotel is in the new Bristol Clean Air Zone. If your petrol car was made after circa. 2006 or a diesel made after circa. 2015 the 9.00 per day charge will probably not apply. You can check the status of your vehicle on the UK GOV website and search for congestion charge.
To book accommodation visit the Hilton.com reservation website and look for Doubletree by Hilton Bristol City Centre. Enter the dates required and click on the special rates button and then in the Group Code box enter GWIL23. The rates will be displayed and you will see Wilhelmshaven displayed in small letters by the price.
Alternatively, you can phone the hotel’s in-house reservation team on 0117 926 1860 referencing the “The Wilhelmshaven Association 2023 Reunion” and use the special rate code above.
We also have third method of making a reservation via a dedicated direct web link for reunion room reservations on the TWA website. The cancellation policy of the hotel is that rooms can be cancelled up to 72-hours before arrival without charge. If you or your guest are disabled, it is strongly recommended that you advise the hotel of this when making your booking and again on arrival. This is a multi-storey hotel, and all areas and bedrooms are accessible by lifts with emergency access via the stairs.
Similarly, if you need help either unloading your luggage or carrying it to your room, please let the hotel reception know that you need assistance. A fee of 2 will be charged on each occasion for porterage services.
