TWA Bristol Reunion – Friday and Saturday 15th and 16th September 2023

Tickets: £89.00 per person for two days – £58.00 per person for Saturday only
This does not include accommodation.


You are welcome to bring a guest, however, if your guest is an ex-PRS pupil, they must also be a fully paid-up TWA member. Ticket prices exclude accommodation, parking fees and any other miscellaneous hotel expenses.


The four-star rated Bristol Doubletree Hotel has 206 bedrooms and is a 5-minute walk away from Bristol Temple Meads Railway Station. It is also within a 10-minute walk of the city centre and vibrant Bristol Harbour. The hotel, which has a fitness centre and the historic Kiln Restaurant, is located at Redcliffe Way, Bristol BSA 9NJ. There are other hotels close to the DoubleTree.


Provisional Programme:

Friday evening – the reunion weekend begins with a meet and greet drink then
a fork buffet.
Saturday morning and afternoon will be a time to spend with your friends or explore the surrounding area.

Saturday evening is the formal Dinner followed by a Disco Dance. 

For the Saturday dinner you can opt to be seated with your friends or take pot luck. Your booking form will give details of the menu options, you must make your selection when booking your ticket.


You will find your booking form enclosed in the Spring edition of the Newsletter –  if you wish to pay by credit/debit card the safest option is to log onto the TWA website and use the PayPal system. You do not need a PayPal account – just your card details – full details on the form.


To enable us to plan the event please return your booking form and deposit ASAP.
Don’t forget to complete your choices for the Saturday dinner. If you choose to pay a deposit you must pay the balance by 30th June 2023.


Accommodation

We have initially reserved 60 double/twin rooms in the hotel for TWA members at a preferential rate and hotel bookings should be made direct to the hotel. More rooms will be made available if the initial 60 are reserved. Bedrooms are of a high standard but if you wish to upgrade your room you should discuss this directly with the hotel. Please secure your room booking with the hotel as soon as possible as spaces will be limited.

The B&B rates per room / per night are:125.00 single occupancy and  135.00 for double occupancy.

If you wish to extend your stay to include either the Thursday or Sunday night or both, the same discounted room rate applies. Check-in is from 3.00 pm and check out at 12.00pm on the day of departure.

The cancellation policy of the hotel is that rooms can be cancelled up to 72-hours before arrival without charge.


Car Parking

Car parking is situated next to the hotel and has an automated payment system. You should make sure that reception has your cars registration number when you check in. The discounted daily rate of  10 will apply for members attending the reunion. If driving you should note that the hotel is in the new Bristol Clean Air Zone. If your petrol car was made after circa. 2006 or a diesel made after circa. 2015 the £9.00 per day charge will probably not apply. You can check the status of your vehicle on the UK GOV website and search for congestion charge.

If you or your guest are disabled in any way, it is strongly recommended that you advise the hotel of this when making your booking and again on arrival. This is a multi-storey hotel and all bedrooms are accessed by lifts with emergency access via the stairs. A fee of £2 will be charged on each occasion for porterage services.


Getting there: By Car – Doubletree by Hilton Bristol City Centre, Redcliffe Way, Bristol, BS1 6NJ By Train – The hotel is situated a circa. 5-minute walk from Bristol Temple Meads station. The station is well served by taxis for those with heavy luggage. By Bus – Bristol Bus and Coach Station is situated In Marlborough Street near Broadmead shopping centre and a 15 min walk to the hotel. The hotel is on several bus routes and is well served. By Air – The nearest airport is Bristol Airport, the Bristol Flyer bus service from the airport does stop outside the hotel.

Alternative Accommodation: If you choose not to stay at the Reunion venue there are many alternative hotels within the Bristol central area.
